Rebuilding the Baseline: From Systems Engineering to Autonomic Regulation

My approach to physical restoration and stress recovery is built entirely on logic, human biology, and practical reality. Before transitioning into somatic instruction, I spent 20 years working in complex systems engineering, digital electronics, and physical systems diagnostics. I spent two decades looking at complex, integrated systems, identifying exactly where the pressure points were, and running structural diagnostics to bring them back online.

I apply that exact same logical, structural framework to the human nervous system. The human body is a complex biological system. When it is subjected to prolonged overload, trauma, or sudden hardship, its internal telemetry goes offline, locking the individual into a destructive loop of chronic alert, anxiety, or deep physical exhaustion.

Built on Real-World Experience

 This work is not a collection of abstract self-help theories to me. My worldview and my entire approach to training were profoundly shaped by having to rebuild my own life and physical baseline completely from scratch after a massive life breakdown at the end of a relationship.

I know exactly what it feels like when your internal system completely red-lines and crashes into survival mode. I learned firsthand that when you are in a physiological trough, you cannot simply think your way out of it. You cannot reason with a panicked nervous system. You have to use the body as the primary mechanism to intervene, reset the autonomic dials, and systematically recalibrate your baseline.

Modalities & Lineage

 

To turn this experience into a precise, reliable toolkit for others, I spent years studying the exact intersection of physical movement and cognitive patterning.


  • Somatic Movement: I hold a 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification, completing my training locally at Fusion Yoga Studios in Ripley. My focus is on structural, accessible movement designed to release trapped physical tension and restore physical safety to the body


  • Linguistic Pacing: I am a trained Practitioner, Master and coach in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) training under John Grinder himself. This background allows me to use precise verbal pacing and structured internal focus to guide people quietly out of cognitive noise and into deep physical relaxation during our classes.


My professional focus is entirely on delivery and practice—getting bodies on mats and providing genuine relief where it is needed most.

Whether I am collaborating with local mental health charities and recovery trusts to support vulnerable service users, or running independent local classes for individuals recovering from their own life disruptions, I keep my sessions strictly down-to-earth.

I have zero tolerance for generic fluff. My goal is to give you a clean, quiet, and orderly space where you can experience an immediate biological shift from stress to calm, leaving you with tangible tools you can use to regulate your own system in the real world.
